Beta terms (plain language)

Boomerang Projects is in beta. That means a few important things:

Acceptable use

By using Boomerang Projects, you agree not to:

Your content stays yours

Student work and teacher work remain the intellectual property of the student, the teacher, or the school, as applicable. We have a limited license to host, transmit, and display that content only as needed to run the workspace for you. We do not use it to train models. We do not sell it. See the Privacy & FERPA page for the data-handling detail.

Disclaimers

Boomerang Projects is provided as is during the beta period. We do our best to be helpful and reliable, but no warranties, express or implied, are offered during beta. Once a paid plan is offered, the terms applicable to that plan will govern.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, during the beta period, the aggregate liability of Boomerang Projects is limited to the amount you paid for access during the beta (which is zero unless otherwise stated in writing).

Governing law

These beta terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois.
